Located in San Francisco, California, this is the first location in a roll-out plan to deliver a lifestyle brand of retail stores & lounges. Urbana has implemented a unique marketing plan to universalize the experience of retail cannabis for all users with their modern, consumer-friendly, service-driven brand.

To break down the barriers that define medical marijuana dispensaries – bulletproof glass, rigid security, and holding rooms – the Urbana team sought out the knowledge and expertise of 555 International to design a space that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Instead of a security lobby, guests are greeted by a custom wood host stand etched with the Urbana logo. Merchandise is highlighted within warm wood millwork with integrated lighting and custom metal details. Off-white custom plaster walls meet polished concrete floors for a well-worn, established look.

 

Entering through an etched glass door behind the point of sale, dispensary members have the privilege of enjoying a private lounge replete with worn leather seating, plush banquettes, and oriental rugs, all highlighted by decorative chandeliers. Urbana is one of the very few dispensaries to obtain on-site consumption licensing for the lounge area, which allows for the ideal space for stop & work, social meetings, workshops, seminars, a community between members, and an atmosphere of acceptance.
